Schedule: 7:30am - 4pm, Monday - Friday

Hometown Garage is looking for an experienced A-Level / Master Auto Technician to join our team in Portland, CT.

Our shop is equipped with modern diagnostic equipment, digital vehicle inspections, and a steady flow of work, allowing you to focus on what you do best.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose complex drivability, engine performance, and electrical system issues
• Perform advanced engine repair and mechanical repairs
• Diagnose and repair steering, suspension, brake, and drivetrain systems
• Utilize advanced scan tools and diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns
• Perform complete vehicle inspections using our Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) system
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining exceptional workmanship
• Assist with challenging diagnostic cases and support fellow technicians when needed
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate findings clearly
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work environment

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Advanced knowledge of engine performance, drivability, electrical systems, and vehicle electronics
• Proven experience performing complex mechanical repairs
• ASE Certifications are a plus
• Formal automotive training preferred
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high productivity and quality
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
